Straw marquetry traineeship

Every month, we organize a straw marquetry traineeship in our workshop in Paris hosted by Shan, our workshop manager. Everyone is welcome and no preparatory training is needed. The internship is held in our workshop located 22, rue Mayet in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Montparnasse train station. The closest subway stations are Duroc (10 and 13 lines) and Falguière (12 line).

The internships take place during a weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. A lunch break is planned. You are free to bring your own lunch or buy it around the workshops where a few shops are open all weekend long.

The number of trainees is limited to 10 to give you maximum attention.

Shan will adapt its class to each of your levels. People who are new to straw marquetry will make a panel with 4 basic patterns. Those who have allready attend a traineeship or who would like to perfect themselves will make inlays and composed threads.

Prices : 200 euros per week-end. All tools will be provided.

A 100 euros deposit is requested at the reservation.

Our internships are victims of their own success! Over 1,000 people are waiting for a place on a straw marquetry course, but unfortunately we can only accommodate 10 people per month. It is therefore impossible to register for several courses at the same time, and priority is given to those who have never taken a course before.
